New car

    Finished up the tunning board work tonight on the car i intend to race at a local pub ...this car was built with a pine car block, modified BSA wheels and home made stainless steel axles and only old school lead for wieght ...( in a circus announcement type voice) " LADIES AND GENTALMAN I PRESENT TO YOU...."PINK PARTS!!!!"

    I do not know why the pics came through upside down i tried to flip them several times and they posted upside down every time...hope yall get the jist

    The pics are upside down if you click on the thumbnail but come through right side up if you click on the link... weird.

    Nice build! Make sure to post how ya do at the pub.
    Are you considering tungsten for weights for future builds? I am sure you have read about it or others have already talked to you about it.
    Highly recommended and it’s pretty cheap all things considered. All the main league racing vendors carry it in various forms. Again you may already know that. Just mentioning it just in case.
    Looking forward to post race report!

    I have purchased some tungsten cubes for the car i have not started yet (marches race entry) ...just something about melting and shaping the lead

    Toxic fumes, burned car bodies...table tops...hamds....fingers, hard to shape, twice as much space required to max weight......sorry....I dont miss lead , anymore.

    Ok...so i just returned from the derby at the local pub it was single elimination head to head...what a blast...unfourtunatly i was knocked out in the third round...i believe i had too much drift in the car for the track...im not sure what make the track was but it was like a rubberized plastic kind of thing so maybe 4" over 4 feet was a bit more friction than speed...but still fun just the same

    That is awesome I think you just matched my pro career heat record of beating other cars....lol It is a blast I love this thing called derby...hope to see you on the hill soon
