I seem to recall something you said about "real men" applying CA glue with a fingertip... /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

I liked the idea and thought that I would give it a try as well. They are lighter then the real deal. I learned a lot about the process and the bottom cutout. It does need to be be somewhat at an angle and large to prevent rubbing on the rail. The seemingly large bottom cutout of the Gee Fenders had perplexed me in a previous post. Four of them were about 20.5 grains, or about 1.33 Grams. Probably a little less than that even, as I did some more sanding and adjusting of the bottom cut after I weighed them.

Fingertip was going to be my response... and yeah I've done it this way. In fact, I just used that method this past weekend when making a set of fenders. Just make sure it's dry before you touch anything else.

Oh..... a downside..... cell phone doesn't respond too well to a fingertip coated with CA.

Acetone will take the CA right off your fingers. I just used it a couple of hours ago. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

I just sand off the dried CA glue from my finger on 220 grit foam pad.

I just made a bunch of fenders out of balsa. I strengthened them using the Sally Hansen Teflon nail polish. Worked great, It comes in a bottle with a brush attached to the lid. Easier to work with than CA. POINT -- I haven't used it on any other body parts except fenders, but it would probably work anywhere.

Why "Teflon" and where do you find it? Amazon comes up short on that one.
