This is our last PWD. Our car is 5/8 thick and 2oz tungsten behind back wheels. And 1/2 oz in front I want to tune to a 4on the floor RR. Here’s my dilemma… my left back axel slot crumbled so I have to epoxy in the wheel which I planned to canter. If a thinner car will make a big difference I could start over but we’re already painted. We have 4 days till race day. Should I just concentrate on tunning? Really hope to win districts this year. We have won our pack the last 3 years. I usually do a 1/2” thick body design but have no idea why I went with 5/8 this year.

By the way… how do you put tungsten cubes in a 1/4” car? Or would you do a canopy instead?

Cut all the way through the ¼" body to make my weight pockets. Then glue a 1/64 ply over the weight pocket. Then put dbl sided tape in. Stick the weights to that. Apply a layer of hvac foil tape over the bottom. It makes a nice sandwich that won't fall apart. Canopies work, but defeat the purpose of a ¼" body.
